Ewan Cameron papers, 1935-1997.

The collection includes dozens of boxes of material from research initiatives that Cameron conducted, including study proposals, grant applications, funding information, notes, manuscripts, and published papers. Cameron's correspondence with a number of colleagues, most notably Linus Pauling, is likewise included in the collection, as are smaller sets of biographical content, including Cameron's awards.

Arthur Robinson was an undergraduate at Cal Tech when Linus Pauling was on the Cal Tech faculty. Robinson subsequently earned a Ph. D. in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and eventually took a position in the chemistry department at UCSD. Dr. Ewan Cameron was born in Glasgow, Scotland July 31, 1922. He received his medical degree from the University of Glasgow in 1944, and immediately joined the British Army, where he served as a medical officer in Burma for three years. A gifted surgeon, Cameron worked as a Consultant Surgeon at Vale of Leven Hospital in Dunbartonshire, Scotland, from 1956 to 1982, becoming the Senior Consultant Surgeon in 1973.
